ADHD Coach and Mental Health Mentor
I can help with alleviating some of the difficult symptoms that relate to ADHD. Through negotiation, I tailor strategies to suit the individual, depending upon what impacts on their daily lives and what they feel are their priorities. I look at anything that has helped before and build on that, ensuring that all issues such as environment, diet, sleep and any exercise routines are taken into account. I have many years experience working in HE with under- and post-graduates and I understand how ADHD alongside academic demands can sometimes be impossible to cope with.
I have, for many years, been a diagnostician in the field of SpLDs so I understand conditions which can be co-morbid with ADHD, such as dyspraxia, dyslexia and ASC.
I also feel that, given the right environment and opportunities, ADHD can be a valuable strength, leading to success and job satisfaction in the workplace. Understanding both the positive and negative aspects of ADHD is key to working out how to make the most of your life, whether in academia, the workplace or your home.
Specifically I can help with the following:
I also offer study sessions for any of my clients who find it hard to get down to work. These sessions are free of charge and separate from the regular coaching sessions, enabling the client to get work done and their productivity to improve. They are held in silence online (with the cameras on) and are half an hour or one hour in length – the presence of someone else can be a powerful strategy, providing an opportunity to focus and hit deadlines.
