Dr. Mukesh Kripalani, MD, FRCPsych
Lead Adult Consultant Psychiatrist at The ADHD Centre
Dr. Kripalani is our lead adult Consultant Psychiatrist. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and was a Regional Representative for the General and Community Faculty of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. He is actively at the forefront of personalised psychiatric care in the UK today, using an array of personal experiences, the latest research and pharmacogenetic testing, to achieve optimum outcomes.
His devotion to excellent clinical care has been acknowledged by the NHS as he has been awarded Clinical Excellence Awards by the NHS trusts he has worked for.
Dr. Kripalani has a wealth of experience in treating clients. He has considerable expertise in understanding the different ways in which ADHD symptoms can present throughout life and their potential relationship to the development of other comorbid psychiatric conditions such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, emotional lability (rejection sensitivity) and PTSD.
He has authored several publications on the above topics and a simple search can reveal the depth of knowledge that he possesses. His published work has been cited more than a 100 times in articles and textbooks.
Anne Betteridge
Specialist ADHD Coach and Neurodiversity Trainer at The ADHD Centre
Anne Betteridge is an experienced ADHD coach and specialist in Specific Learning Differences (SpLDs), with many years’ experience supporting undergraduates and postgraduates in higher education. She works collaboratively with clients to alleviate the challenges associated with ADHD, tailoring strategies to each individual’s priorities and daily life. Her approach takes into account all relevant factors — including environment, diet, sleep, and exercise routines — and builds on what has worked well in the past. Drawing on her extensive background as a diagnostician in SpLDs, Anne has deep insight into co-occurring conditions such as dyspraxia, dyslexia, and autism spectrum conditions (ASC). She is passionate about helping clients understand both the strengths and challenges of ADHD, empowering them to harness its positive aspects to thrive in academia, the workplace, and beyond.
Anne supports clients with areas such as organisation, concentration, focus, procrastination, distractibility, impulsivity, time management, productivity, lifestyle choices, restlessness, feelings of overwhelm, and rejection sensitive dysphoria (RSD). She also offers free, online study sessions outside of regular coaching appointments for those who find it hard to get started on tasks. These silent, camera-on sessions, held for 30 or 60 minutes, provide structure, accountability, and a powerful opportunity to focus and meet deadlines.
Dr. Ilyas Mirza MD, FRCPsych
Consultant Adult Psychiatrist at The ADHD Centre
Dr. Ilyas Mirza has worked as an NHS consultant for over 20 years, receiving awards for clinical excellence. He has also held honorary academic appointments with the Institute of Psychiatry, UCL, and QMUL, completing his research doctorate from the latter institution. He has been the Research Director for his local NHS Trust and the Deputy Regional Advisor for the Royal College of Psychiatrists, London Division. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Dr. Mirza brings a wealth of experience to the ADHD centre. His research background ensures that he remains up to date with scientific developments and best practice guidelines. His assessments are thorough, recognising that ADHD often goes hand in hand with other mental health challenges and requires an individualised approach. He thoughtfully explores both strengths and difficulties to develop a comprehensive management plan with each person, working collaboratively to achieve optimal outcomes.
