ADHD Centre Treatment Funding – Know Your Rights.

Although we are a privately funded clinic and do not receive direct funding from the government or NHS, we can help to provide you with support and information on how to apply for the grants and allowances that you are entitled to if you are diagnosed with ADHD.

There are currently two main funding programs for students and workers.

  1. Student Disability Allowance – for higher education students living in England

Under the Equality Act (2010) as a higher education student living in England, you can apply for a Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) if you have a disability, including and not limited to:

  • long-term health condition
  • mental health condition
  • specific learning difficulty, such as ADHD or dyslexia

Disabled Students’ Allowances (DSAs) are paid on top of your other student finance. They help you pay the extra costs you may have because of your disability such as access to our specialist ADHD medical and student coaching programmes.

How much you get depends on your individual needs and this grant does not have to be repaid.

You can find out more information at:

https://www.gov.uk/disabled-students-allowances-dsas/overview

  1. Access to Work – for working adults living in England

Access to Work grant can pay for practical support if you have a disability, mental health or specific learning difficulty such as ADHD or dyslexia.

This grant can help you:

  • start working
  • stay in work
  • move into self-employment or start a business

One of the following must apply:

  • you have a paid job
  • you’re self-employed
  • you have a job interview
  • you’re about to start a job or work trial
  • you’re starting work experience

Access to work funding can help you pay for the costs of our specialist ADHD medical and employment coaching programmes.

You can find out more information at:

https://www.gov.uk/access-to-work/overview
