Evidence-Based ADHD Treatments for Children

If your child has been showing symptoms of impulsivity, lack of concentration, fidgetiness, or hyperactivity, your kid might have an Attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder or ADHD.

Having your child assessed and diagnosed is one step away from getting the treatment he or she is needing. To get a better objective understanding of your child’s current situation, our doctors collect the collateral history of medical records prior to the assessment. This way, our doctors can properly document how the ADHD symptoms may have affected your child’s learning, social well-being, and overall health.

Your child will meet with one of our Specialist Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists for around 90-120 minutes to complete the assessment. The doctor will take a detailed assessment of your child’s presenting symptoms (and how these have developed over time), past medical history, developmental history, and family history.

At the end of the assessment, the doctor will discuss possible diagnoses and then you will come up with an individualized treatment plan together to ensure that your child receives the best possible care. After the assessment, you will receive a detailed report from your Consultant outlining any diagnosis and treatment plan details.
