Making friends — it can either be a cakewalk, or complete torture. For children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, it has always been the latter. An ADHD-diagnosed child is continually in doubt with everything they do, so establishing lasting friendships is going to be an issue for them. As a parent, how can we help our young ones create lasting friendships with others without having to tremble in fear of rejection?

Adolescence is a very confusing time not only for teens but for parents as well. Having to experience and survive the teen years brings a great challenge to both parents and adolescents. Your teen might start to make decisions on their own and think for themselves. Don’t distress. It’s natural and important for your child to break away from you during this age. It is in our nature as parents to shield our children from the disappointments and confusions that life has to offer during this trying stage.

Becoming a parent can be a fulfilling and rewarding experience but it doesn’t mean that it is easy because the truth is, parenting is hard. Parenting is both intellectually and emotionally draining. Oftentimes, it requires making a lot of sacrifices. Becoming a good parent requires hard work like knowing how to make your children feel important and loved while teaching them right from wrong.

There are so many things to think about to make sure you're giving your child all the opportunities you can, while also making sure they aren't spoiled. It is vital for parents to remember that children reach milestones at different ages. However, if your child is way past due for certain things, such as walking or communicating, take them to the doctor for testing.
