What is the ADHD Medication?
The most commonly prescribed drug are Stimulants. Stimulants last for 4 to 12 hours. It has a calming effect on the individuals with ADHD. It comes in a form of a capsule, skin patch, liquid, or pill.
Although it is the doctors’ immediate choice, stimulants are not for everyone because some just do not work well with stimulants. Therefore, non-stimulants are prescribed.
Non-stimulant Drugs are occasionally used along with, or as an alternative to stimulants. Patients who take non-stimulants are less sleepless and less agitated.
Antidepressants are also prescribed to the individuals with ADHD who also have a depression, mood disorder, or anxiety
What are the benefits of ADHD Medication?
ADHD medication has helped our clients in many ways, but it cannot cure ADHD. It just helps the patient control the ADHD symptoms. These medications help the patients to stay focused and to take control of their emotion. This is why it is highly recommended that ADHD medication is to be taken while undergoing the therapy.
For a reason that each person has various needs, medications can work for some, but cannot for others. It highly recommended that a physician is closely monitoring the patient’s medication.
An unmonitored medication is highly risky for the patient.
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, it is an approach to treatment which is designed to boost up an individual’s happiness by modifying dysfunctional behaviours, emotions, and thoughts. This therapy is meant to make the client understand that their negative thoughts can be a hindrance to unlocking their maximum potentials.
What is Coaching?
Coaching is a practical intervention that is administered to deal with the client’s specific needs and personal goals. This intervention is aimed to improve the clients’ time management, goal setting, planning, problem solving and organisation.
There are also circumstances that call both to be combined. Which is why several evidence-based studies show that combining CBT with Coaching, renders the best results in successfully dealing with ADHD symptoms.
What are the benefits of ADHD Coaching?

Well Being
Taking care of our well-being is a must for everyone. One of the ways in taking care of our well-being is in a form of exercise.
Whenever we exercise, our body increases the release of the hormone dopamine. An increase of dopamine can help those who have ADHD to develop their focus and attention span.
It can also help increase the release of endorphins in our body. Endorphins are hormones which are naturally produced by our body, in response to pain. Endorphins are the hormones responsible for giving us a ‘good-feeling’ and euphoria.
What is Mindfulness Meditation?
Mindfulness Meditation is one of the alternative treatments for ADHD. It involves giving attention to your thoughts, feelings and other bodily sensations.
How can Mindfulness help those who have ADHD?
Mindfulness can help the patients to develop their individual skills such as controlling their attention and strengthening their focus.
It also teaches the patients to be aware of their emotional state in order for them to not react impulsively which is oftentimes the problem for those who have ADHD.
