Dr Parveen Kumar Sharma has more than 17 years experience working as a General Adult Consultant Psychiatrist.
He specialises in General Adult Psychiatry and is also a Consultant with the adult ADHD services at his NHS trust.
Awards & Recognition
He provides holistic and comprehensive assessments with treatment of co-morbidities in adult ADHD including patients presenting with significant mood, anxiety and substance misuse issues.
Dr Sharma sits on the advisory group of the Accreditation Committee for Community Mental Health Services (ACOMHS) of The Royal College of Psychiatrists,which sets standards for community mental health services across England.
Dr Sharma is also the regional advisor for the Northwest division of Royal College of Psychiatrist with responsibility to maintain quality and professional standards of the region’s medical workforce.
He has held senior management positions within the NHS including that of Associate Medical Director.

I Booked my first appointment on 19/07/25 with Dr Sharma and received my diagnoses 3 weeks later. A follow up call was arranged 2 weeks after this and I was prescribed medication which I received 2 days later.
The whole process was extremely smooth, transparent and professional. The communication is to a very high standard and I would defiantly use again.

Highly Professional and Worth Every Penny
I recently had an ADHD assessment with Dr. Sharma at The ADHD Centre, and I couldn’t be more grateful for the experience. I was able to get an appointment on the same day, which was a huge relief after waiting so long elsewhere. Dr. Sharma was professional, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable.
Having seen many professionals over the years, I was struck by how quickly and clearly he understood what was going on with me. His years of experience were obvious—he assessed my condition with ease and confidence, which helped me feel seen and understood for the first time in a long time.
Yes, I had to pay for the assessment, but I can honestly say it was worth every penny. If you have the resources and don’t want to wait months—or even years—for help, I highly recommend it. I received a clear diagnosis and was told I’d have the full report within three weeks, which is an incredible turnaround compared to NHS waiting times.
Now I feel like I can finally access the treatment and support I need and begin moving forward with my life.
