Dr Prathibha Rao has a wide range of expertise working in NHS adult ADHD services in the North East of England for 10 years. She has authored a number of policy and practice guidance documents for her service to ensure safe working, promote joint working and provide best quality care for patients with ADHD.
Awards & Recognition
She setup and led the regional UKAdult ADHD network for the North East and promoted information sharing, continuous professional development and peer support groups. She has created patient information leaflets for adults with ADHD with service user involvement. She has trained non medical colleagues in assessment and management of ADHD and organised trust wide educational seminars for ADHD.
She is the Royal College of Psychiatry Regional Advisor for the North East division with responsibilities to upkeep quality and professional standards. She is the Associate Director for postgraduate medical education in her NHS trust.
