About Dr. Robert Schapira

Dr. Schapira first started seeing adults with ADHD in the early 1990s, when the condition was not widely recognised or understood. After an initial training in the USA, he has since developed a wealth of knowledge and expertise in working with adults with ADHD and related neurodiversity and helped thousands of patients with their symptoms to thrive in their personal and professional lives.

Dr. Schapira graduated from the Charing Cross Hospital, London in 1986 with a degree in medicine and completed his psychiatric training at the London Hospital and St Bartholomew Hospital. He has held consultant positions within the NHS and is a former Clinical Director of Mental Health. He is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, British Association of Psychopharmacology and UKAAN.

Dr. Schapira also works in NHS ADHD clinics, where he provides assessment and treatment for adults with suspected or diagnosed ADHD. He collaborates with other professionals such as GPs, psychologists, nurses, social workers, and occupational therapists to ensure that his patients receive the best possible care and support.

Dr. Schapira maintains a passionate interest in the field of integrative medicine and is a member of the British Society of Integrative Medicine. He applies these whole mind body approaches in treating ADHD. He recognizes that ADHD is not only a disorder of the brain, but also a disorder of the body and the environment. He uses a highly personalised approach, often combining medication, nutritional, herbal, hormonal, environmental, and lifestyle interventions to address the root causes of ADHD and optimize the overall health and well-being of his patients. He works closely with his patients to tailor a treatment plan that suits their individual needs and goals. He also provides support and guidance for their families, partners, and employers. He is passionate about helping his patients achieve their full potential and improve their quality of life.
