Dr. Tareen is a Consultant Child and adolescent Psychiatrist and has worked in NHS for 20 years. She completed her initial training in Northern Ireland and her higher training under the London St Mary's Training scheme and is well experienced in assessing and managing a wide range of Child and Adolescent Mental Health Disorders. Dr Tareen is currently working as a consultant at a prestigious NHS Trust and is involved in assessment, diagnosis and treatments of Complex Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
Dr Tareen has special interest and expertise in Neurodevelopmental Disorders; Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as well as related comorbid conditions such as Tic disorders and Mood disorders (Anxiety, OCD, Depession).
Dr Tareen is passionate about providing high quality, evidence based practice which includes behavioural, psychological, educational and family interventions as well as physical health care alongside psychiatric medication as deemed appropriate. She works jointly with the child and family to achieve their full potential and enable better health and performance.
