Dr Kehinde is an accomplished consultant psychiatrist working part-time within the NHS, with over a decade of dedicated experience in psychiatry since completing her medical degree in 2005. She undertook her higher specialist training with the East of England Deanery, during which she developed a strong clinical focus on neurodevelopmental disorders. Her training included an 18-month placement in a tertiary neurodevelopmental service, where she gained extensive experience assessing and managing children with ADHD, Autism, and complex presentations.
Awards & Recognition
Throughout her postgraduate training, Dr Kehinde built a broad clinical portfolio across multiple psychiatric subspecialties, including forensic psychiatry. She obtained her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability and has since worked as a consultant psychiatrist in a reputable NHS neurodevelopmental service. She currently provides specialist care to adults with intellectual disabilities across all levels of severity.
In addition to her clinical expertise, Dr Kehinde actively contributes to medical education through teaching undergraduate medical students on neurodevelopmental disorders and intellectual disabilities. She is also research-active, having authored and co-authored academic works. These include a chapter on psychological therapies for individuals with intellectual disabilities in the Oxford Textbook of the Psychiatry of Intellectual Disability, and a paper on syndromic obesity with neurodevelopmental delay, focusing on strategies for targeted intervention.
Dr Kehinde is recognised for her compassionate, patient-centred approach and her strong commitment to improving the lives of people with intellectual disabilities and neurodevelopmental conditions. She is known for being conscientious, supportive, and highly dedicated to delivering high-quality, person-centred psychiatric care.
