About Dr. Tolulope Olowe (Dr. Lulu)

Dr. Olowe completed her specialist psychiatric training at the internationally renowned South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, affiliated with the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, before obtaining her Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT). Throughout her career, she has held senior consultant and clinical leadership positions across NHS and independent mental health services in the UK and internationally.

Her expertise includes comprehensive assessment and management of ADHD across the lifespan, including individuals with co-occurring autism spectrum disorder (ASD), anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), trauma-related disorders and emotional dysregulation. She has extensive experience diagnosing ADHD in both children and adults, including adults whose symptoms were previously overlooked or misattributed.

Dr. Olowe is certified to undertake comprehensive autism assessments using the internationally recognised ADOS and ADI-R diagnostic instruments. She provides thorough, evidence-based assessments and works collaboratively with patients to develop personalised treatment plans that may include psychoeducation, medication management, psychological interventions and practical strategies to improve functioning at home, education and work.

She has a particular interest in recognising the diverse ways ADHD presents across the lifespan, including in women and girls, high-achieving individuals and those with complex neurodevelopmental or mental health presentations. Her approach is holistic, considering each person’s strengths alongside the challenges they experience, ensuring that treatment is tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Alongside her clinical work, Dr Olowe has held several senior leadership roles including Medical Director, Clinical Lead, Service Lead and Safeguarding Lead. She is committed to improving access to high-quality mental healthcare and remains actively involved in clinical governance, service development, teaching, research and continuing professional development.

Her academic background reflects her commitment to excellence in clinical practice. In addition to her medical and psychiatric qualifications, she holds a Master of Science in International Health, a Master of Laws (LLM) in Mental Health Law, a Diploma in Tropical Medicine & Public Health and is a Chartered Manager.
