Our Waterford ADHD centre is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to people of all ages who are affected by ADHD, including children, students, and adults. Our team of experienced clinicians work together to provide a range of specialist services, including diagnostic assessments, medication management, psychotherapy, coaching, and support and advice for caregivers.

We believe in a holistic approach to ADHD care, which means we take the time to get to know you and understand your unique challenges and strengths. Our assessments are thorough and comprehensive, using the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V) model.
A qualified psychologist will assess and diagnose you, taking into account your symptoms, how long they’ve been present, and any input from those close to you.
This gives us a better idea of the type of ADHD, if any, you might have, and whether there could be any comorbid conditions, such as a mood disorder, that we need to take into account.
Our treatment plans are personalised to ensure you receive the support you need to thrive. We will work with you to find the best treatment, be it medication, therapy, or both.
We also offer comprehensive support services for caregivers of children with ADHD, providing advice on how to understand your child’s needs and help them navigate their diagnosis and treatment.

The ADHD Centre was set up in 2009 and is a UK based private health care service that specialises in the evidence-based diagnosis and treatment of ADHD. We have a dedicated and expertly picked team of ADHD specialist Psychiatrists, Psychologists and Behavioural Coaches ready to help you get on top of your symptoms and start flourishing in all areas of your life.
Assessments are undertaken by Consultant Psychiatrists (not psychologists) who specialise in ADHD in adults and / or children with ADHD.
Following your assessment we will send you, via secure email, a detailed report from your Consultant Psychiatrist, outlining any diagnosis and treatment plan details. We will aim to send this within 2 weeks of your assessment.
The ADHD Centre’s guidelines for diagnosis of ADHD are based on the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-V), widely used in clinical practice, research and in the psychological society.
The ADHD Centre offers online and face-to-face adult and child ADHD assessment.
